Overview

The most dangerous non-boss demon in the game. Archviles summon and buff other demons, create fire walls, and teleport around the arena. They must be prioritized immediately -- every second an Archvile lives, the fight gets exponentially harder. Use the Crucible if available.

Strengths

  • +Fire wall attack deals massive unavoidable damage in a zone.
  • +Teleports frequently making sustained damage difficult.

Weaknesses

  • -Crucible kills them in a single strike.
  • -Relatively low health if you can maintain sustained fire.
  • -Summoned demons despawn when the Archvile dies.

Combat Tips

  • 1Always save a Crucible charge for Archviles -- one swing kills them instantly.
  • 2If no Crucible, use Lock-on Burst + Chaingun Mobile Turret to burst them down.
  • 3Archviles teleport when damaged -- track their new position immediately.
  • 4Kill the Archvile before dealing with summoned demons -- they despawn on death.
