Overview

Sorcerers command the power of lightning, summon Daedric creatures, and manipulate dark magic. They are one of the easiest classes to learn with strong passive survivability through shields and pets, making them excellent for solo and group DPS.

Strengths

  • +Easiest class for beginners with pet builds doing competitive DPS
  • +Strongest shields in the game with Hardened Ward
  • +Excellent burst damage with Crystal Fragments and Curse combo
  • +Great mobility in PvP with Streak and Ball of Lightning

Weaknesses

  • -Pet builds can feel passive and less engaging for experienced players
  • -Limited group utility compared to Necromancer or Warden
  • -Non-pet builds have a higher skill floor than other classes
  • -Tank role is viable but not optimal compared to Dragonknight

Tips & Tricks

  • 1Pet builds (Volatile Familiar + Twilight Tormentor) are the easiest way to parse high DPS.
  • 2Crystal Fragments procs are your bread and butter -- always use the instant-cast proc.
  • 3Streak is one of the best mobility skills in PvP for escaping or gap-closing.
  • 4Use Hardened Ward as your primary shield -- it scales with max magicka.
  • 5Power Surge provides passive healing from critical hits, freeing up a skill slot.
