Overview

Wardens draw power from nature, commanding animal companions, frost magic, and restorative flora. They are extremely versatile, capable of filling any role effectively. Their Bear Ultimate is iconic, and their frost abilities make them excellent tanks.

Strengths

  • +Most versatile class -- competitive in all four roles (DPS, Tank, Healer, PvP)
  • +Excellent group buffs with Minor Toughness and frost abilities
  • +Strong PvP class with burst, sustain, and survivability in one kit
  • +Bear ultimate provides consistent passive DPS in all content

Weaknesses

  • -Jack of all trades but master of none -- slightly behind specialists
  • -Bear ultimate can feel awkward in tight spaces or certain encounters
  • -Magicka DPS rotation is less intuitive than Sorcerer or Arcanist
  • -Animal Companions visual effects can be distracting in group content

Tips & Tricks

  • 1Feral Guardian (Bear) does passive damage -- always have it summoned for free DPS.
  • 2Sub Assault (Scorch morph) hits hard after a delay -- lead your rotation with it.
  • 3Frost Cloak provides Major Resolve to the entire group, essential for tanking.
  • 4Healing Seed + Budding Seeds combo provides strong AoE healing and a synergy.
  • 5Icy Conjurer and Grizzly Ward are strong ultimates for PvP survivability.
